Engagement - John & Lindsay

John works right next to my lab at UCSD and our labs collaborate on various projects. Hopefully we can both graduate soon. This engagement session was at the beautiful Balboa Park. Loving how these turned out! 

Second Shooter Wedding - Jennifer & William

On June 28th, I shot another beautiful wedding in Pasadena with renowned Yoshi Ohara. He contacted me through a mutual friend and asked me to be his second shooter. This was first official second shooter experience, since Kirk and I always shoot as co-first shooters. It was a great experience and I learned a lot! A neat trick that he used: instead of relying on the IR focus during low light situations, just shine an LED light and the focus is 100x accurate. 

Pasadena Wedding - Edmond and Karen

On April 26th, I shot a wedding with Jose Valdez, a very talented photographer/videographer. He is currently working as a solo consultant, but next month he will be working with Lionsgate for a TV show. I am very honored to have worked with such a talented young man and learned a lot from this experience. 

The wedding itself was a rather traditional Chinese Christian wedding with lots of food, tea ceremony, and Chinese that I could not understand. With around 150 people at the reception site Lunasia, the tables were filled with Edmond and Karen's friends and relatives. All seemed to be having lots of fun at the photobooth too. Got to see some old friends Michelle, Johnson, and Rebecca! 

Too bad my car died on the way back...
